Hello, and how have you been lately? The hubs and I have been horribly delightfully distracted getting ready for our little bundle of joy to arrive sometime next month. And, while that DOES mean that I haven’t been writing very much, that DOESN’T mean that we haven’t been having our share of adventures!
So, what have I been up to lately?
A few weeks ago the hubs and I took an evening jog around a local park, which made for about a 1.5 mile course. And although I am not moving as fast or as far as I’m used to, I love that I can share my passion for fitness and living an active lifestyle with our baby already!
30 weeks pregnant, baby!
In the week after that jog, Bosco and I met one of my dear friends and fellow bloggers at Wildwood Park in Bridgewater. Caroline, writer of Just Another Song of Joy and missionary with YWAM in Cambodia, was back in the country for a short time. We were both glad to be able to set aside some time for our friendship in the midst of our crazy schedules, and we got some ice cream to commemorate the occasion!
I’ve been running an event on my Facebook page that’s all about accountability! The Accountability Team is about building a community of online support and encouragement, as well as following along with the workout videos that I’ve been posting. It’s hard to believe that I’ll be taking my maternity leave starting in a few weeks, but hopefully the A Team will continue to support each other while I focus on my family.
And finally, last night I met up with a client at the Sentara RMH track for a quick, but totally effective, jog between appointments. It was spur-of-the-moment, but I was so happy we made it work! We enjoyed the sunset and each other’s company before I had to peel off to stretch and get to my next appointment. I was so proud of h er for continuing on for another mile! WHILE pushing a jogging stroller! Go get ’em!
Look at that sunset behind me!
Feels so good to get a workout in!
What have you been up to lately?
