I’ve recently had the opportunity to do a great deal of bra shopping (thank you, pregnancy!) and one thing that I’ve noticed to my great dismay is the lack of good options for athletic breastfeeding mothers. So I set out on a mission to find options that worked for my athletic career, but that would also work for my new mom lifestyle that will be taking off in a few months.
There are tons of nursing bras out there in many different styles, but looking for something that could handle a basic workout, let alone a run, seemed almost impossible. I took to Pinterest and Google to help me out, and the first option I discovered was an adjustable sports bra my the company Moving Comfort.
While this bra is not specifically marketed as a maternity or nursing bra, it can definitely serve that purpose. Check out their marketing video here:
I was thrilled to discover a store nearby that had two of these sports bras in my size (at the time) in stock. Naturally, I bought them both. Here’s my review of the bra:
Moving Comfort Juno Racerback Sports Bra
Size/Fit: True to size/Snug
Comfort: Very comfortable for working out. There’s enough support/compression to make you want to take it off when you’re done, though.
Impact Level: High (ideal for running, jumping, HIIT)
Price: $$ Mid-range expense, but totally worth the investment
Moving Comfort Juno Racerback Sports Bra
The Juno Sports Bra is amazing, and by far my favorite running bra right now! The back closure uses a wide band with three hooks, adding to support and stability. The full front coverage is a MUST for athletic mamas, and I’m actually very impressed with the breathability of the fabric. There are no seams on the inside of the cups, which adds comfort and prevents friction injuries. The front straps can be released for nursing or adjusted for size fluctuation due to their velcro which, to my amazement, does not add bulk or scratchiness.

All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase. It was definitely worth the $54 I spent in-store (definitely buy from a store when you can, so you can try it on and make sure you are getting the right size!). I got mine from Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Have you found any good options for athletic moms? Have you tried this bra before? What are your thoughts?
